Principles
- The terms used in this privacy statement and defined in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) have the meaning assigned to them in the GDPR Act.
- We use personal data only for the purposes (basis) defined in this privacy statement. This is lawful and transparent.
- We express our privacy statement in clear and plain language and do not try to hide any information. We are also clear about what data we process and how we do it. This is well-defined and clear.
- We only process personal data that we actually need. That is data minimisation.
- We are happy to work with you to ensure that the data we process is always correct and up-to-date. That is data accuracy.
- We do not keep data for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. That is the retention period.
- We never share personal data with other parties, inside or outside the EU without a legitimate reason. We also ensure proper security of personal data by taking many technical and organisational measures. When we share your personal data with third parties, we explicitly indicate this. goWIDGETS only shares your personal data with third parties with your consent, if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement or to comply with any legal obligation. With parties who process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. goWIDGETS remains responsible for this processing. This is for the integrity and security of the data.
Personal data we process
Below you will find an overview of the personal data, purposes, bases and retention periods we process per category. We also indicate for each category with whom your data is shared.
Customer data
Personal data and purposes:
- NAW data (first name, surname, address, postcode, place of residence, country)
- For the execution of the agreement, domain registration, billing, identification, maintaining the customer relationship and carrying out direct marketing activities.
- Contact and additional personal data (e-mail address, telephone number, gender, date of birth)
- To communicate with each other, address you correctly, provide support, notify you of changes in products/services, perform direct marketing activities and send you a birthday card ;-).
- Payment details (bank account number, VAT number)
- To process your payment and for VAT deferral if your company is based outside the Netherlands.
Basis (legal basis) for processing:
Necessary for the performance of the agreement (click here for more information).
Carrying out direct marketing activities (we send you offers of similar products or services or tips about the products or services purchased) falls under "legitimate interest" (click here for more information).
Retention period:
Until no later than one month after the termination of the agreement. We keep your invoices for the statutory retention period.
With whom your data is shared:
With us and a number of our sub-processors, such as hosting parties, the supplier of our sitebuilder, a number of cloud services we use internally, our administration and reminder software, our (chat) support software and our regular collection agency (in the event of non-payment) are recipients or processors of the personal data. We have concluded a processing agreement with these.
Some are located outside the EU. The sub-processors based outside the EU comply with the AVG Act because they fall under the EU-US privacy shield (click here for more information).
Data of website visitors
goWIDGETS uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. Changing cookie preferences can be done by following these instructions. In addition to cookies, this website contains one or more web forms that process personal data.

When you visit this website, we process your (anonymised*) ip address in our statistics to understand how our website works and to improve it. * = For this processing, we anonymise your IP address before it is processed by the statistics software Google Analytics; as a result, it is no longer personal data.

The maximum retention period for Google Analytics cookies is set by us at 26 months.
With whom your data is shared:
With us and Google. We have set the Google Analytics cookies privacy-friendly in accordance with the 'Handbook privacy-friendly setting of Google Analytics' as made available by the Personal Data Authority. This means for the Google Analytics cookies that goWIDGETS has entered into a processing agreement with Google, ii) masks the last octet of your IP address, iii) has turned off 'data sharing' so that Google cannot use the obtained personal data for its own purposes (Google can only use it for technical support) and iv) does not use other Google services in combination with the Google unless otherwise indicated in the 'Marketing & tracking cookies' section. When you visit this website, we and third parties use techniques (including cookies that capture your IP address) that allow us to recognise you:
- To tailor our promotions and content to your interests (personalisation);

Web forms
Personal data and purposes:
A web form allows you to contact us, for example. Each web form has one clear purpose and should a form contain an additional purpose (e.g. subscription to the newsletter) we will ask for additional consent. By filling in the form, you give us permission to process the personal data requested. For this purpose, we mainly use name and address details, telephone number and an e-mail address.

Consent given by filling in the form or ticking the box to give consent for an additional purpose (click here for more information). You can withdraw your consent by communicating this via the relevant web form or by sending an e-mail to support@gowidgets.io.
Retention period:
We keep the data until we are sure you are satisfied with our response. If the contact leads to an order, we will keep the data for no longer than one month after the agreement is terminated. We keep your invoices for the statutory retention period.

Newsletter (subscription form)
Personal data and purposes:

- Because we would like to address you by your name in our emails.

- So that we can send you interesting emails
We will send you a maximum of 1 newsletter every 2 weeks.

Your consent (click here for more information). You can withdraw your consent using the link at the bottom of every e-mail we send.

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on visitors under 16 years of age. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities, in order to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us at support@gowidgets.io and we will delete this information.
Automated decision-making
goWIDGETS does not make decisions about things that could (significantly) affect individuals based on automated processing. These are decisions that are made by computer programmes or systems, without a person (eg an employee of goWIDGETS) in between.
View, modify or delete data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by goWIDGETS and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can request us to send the personal data we have on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you.
You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to support@gowidgets.io. To make sure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy.
We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks. goWIDGETS would also like to inform you that you have the opportunity to lodge a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Personal Data Authority. If you have a complaint about how we or our sub-processors handle your personal data, we ask that you first discuss it with us so that we can see if we can resolve or amend it to your satisfaction. If we cannot reach that point, you can always lodge a complaint with the regulator.
How we secure personal data
goWIDGETS takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. If you feel that your information is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact us at support@gowidgets.io.
Both we and our suppliers (processors) will endeavour to take appropriate technical and organisational measures regarding the security of personal data.We do not guarantee that the security is effective under all circumstances. We will endeavour to ensure that security meets a level that is not unreasonable, given the state of the art, the sensitivity of the Personal Data and the costs associated with implementing security.
Changes to this privacy statement
goWIDGETS reserves the right to make changes to this privacy statement. Changes will be published on this website. Therefore, please review this privacy statement regularly so that you are aware of any changes. The latest version is displayed in the 'Last modified' section. If you continue to use our website after the last change, this means that you acknowledge, approve and agree to these changes to this privacy statement.
